WHAT IS MATCHA?

Our matcha grows in the city of Uji, Kyoto, Japan and is the most ancient variety of shade-grown Japanese green tea. The unique technique of shading the Matcha variety of leaves in the final weeks of growth boosts the nutrient value of the leaves.

The ritual of the Japanese tea ceremony is timeless and elegant, described in many books, depicted in many movies, and experienced by countless tea drinkers throughout the ages.

WHAT MAKES MATCHA SO SPECIAL?

In addition to being a powerful antioxidant, Matcha Green Tea also contains a much higher amount of such healthy nutrients as Vitamin B12. This is because the entire leaf is used in the grinding process, enabling the tea to retain all of its nutritional value!

CAFFEINE?

As an added bonus, although Matcha Green Tea contains caffeine, it is processed differently by your body due to its unique natural production of amino acids. These slow your body's absorption of the caffeine, meaning that you get the energy benefit of caffeine without the crash like coffee or energy drinks.

CALM | FOCUSED | ENERGY

Growing in the shade produces high levels of L-Theanine which is an amino acid that calms the brain without making you drowsy. Combined with caffeine and theophylline, drinking matcha creates alertness and a lucid state of mind with the energy to last up to 5 hours minus the crash.

BUT IS IT GOOD FOR ME?

Matcha is naturally one of the most concentrated sources of antioxidants on the planet! Antioxidants occur naturally and help prevent or stop cell damage caused by oxidants(free radicals found in the environment, but are also produced naturally in your body). The antioxidants are known for having possible potential anti-cancer and anti-aging compounds, may enhance the function of the immune system and reduce the risk of many diseases.
